Your opportunity

With Mollie’s continued growth comes an ever-increasing need to make decisions based on data. Sitting in Mollie’s Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineering team, you will partner with stakeholders from Mollie’s Commerce and Marketing departments to understand how data can help serve their needs. From here, you will help model masses of complex, constantly evolving data into a shape that allows teams to answer questions and measure performance.
With this role comes great responsibility, but don’t worry - you are not on your own. You will be working with Mollie’s wider Data Team, alongside some of the brightest Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts out there. On top of this, you will have a selection of the latest and greatest tools at your disposal (BigQuery, dbt, Looker). Are you up for the challenge?

What you'll be doing
  • Data modelling: curate and publish robust data models to support analytical requirements around data from Salesforce, Google Analytics and Mollie products
  • Data warehouse design: shape Mollie’s data warehouse architecture and evolve Mollie’s data governance framework to meet ever changing requirements
  • Performance optimisation: monitor costs associated with data transformations and utilise DBT and BigQuery to optimise performance
  • Data quality: define and champion best practices around data quality quality at Mollie, ensuring data models are complete with documentation and validation tests
  • Data literacy: promote data literacy at Mollie through coaching other teams, presenting your work regularly and contributing to knowledge sharing sessions

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 - 5 years experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist or Software Engineer with focus on data
  • SQL mastery
  • Experience with another programming language e.g. Python
  • Experience working in a Cloud Environment e.g. Google Cloud or AWS
  • Experience working with Github / Gitlab
  • An analytical mindset with strong attention to details
  • Ability to synthesise data into a clear story
  • Fluency in English

REMOTE DETAILS

- 2 days per month at the office - All the other days are remote from Portugal - We do allow remote work outside of Portugal for a few weeks each year, but these need to be approved internally (depending on risk assessment)
